I'm sorry, I just have to get this word out. I'll admit, I guess I'm a reasonably attractive person, and I often get told things like, "I want to see you without makeup" or "you look better without lipstick/eyeliner". I don't take them as insults, they're sort of compliments, actually. But people need to understand how insecure some women can be in their own skin, especially ones like me, who have been bullied for their looks. And often I use makeup to help define my appearance, and make me feel better about myself. I know a lot of men prefer a 'natural' look, but if I felt comfortable with it, trust me, I'd do it. I don't look much different with little or no makeup on, but I just don't really feel like myself. And when people tell me that I wear "too much" or anything similar to that, it honestly kind of hurts . You can't dictate to a girl what is supposed to make her feel beautiful.
I also just gave myself a half-shave about a week ago, and I LOVE it! Unfortunately, I don't know if I will be posting pictures because I know I'm gonna get comments like, "I don't approve of that style" or "your hair looked better before". Um, thanks? First of all, why do I need your approval? You're a random person on the internet who I don't know. Why is it so important to you that I look a certain way to please you? If you've seen my recent pics, you can also see that my hair is aqua now, which I also love. And I'm not going to get rid of it just because some guys don't like it. Every time you post a picture on social media, you take a chance at being criticized. You could always NOT post it, but what if you want to? I just wish their was a way you could do what you want without any negativity from others coming out of it, but that's impossible. I guess that's just the way this world works.
